6pm-6am shift with rotating shift to include weekends and holidays
JOB SUMMARY (overview of job): Assists with timely completion of patient registration and scheduling, serves as an information resource to hospital personnel and customers, and performs office management duties in various departments with patient registration areas or customer assistance counters. Functions as a liaison for the department to ensure open and effective communication between the hospital and its customers.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE : Must have exceptional typing skills and possess advanced knowledge of the most complex functions of word processing, spelling, grammar, punctuation and business correspondence; additional computer experience is desirable. Must possess interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively and efficiently in a courteous and considerate manner to maintain contact with hospital personnel and Admitting/Registration Departments, and St. Peter’s Hospital customers. Impeccable personal honesty, integrity and confidentiality are essential. Shift : 4pm-9pm Thurs, Fri, and every other Wed and then 8am-5pm Saturday
EDUCATION : High school education or GED preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY : None.
Aptitudes : * Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner with customer. *Demonstrated ability to effectively completed assigned work while experiencing multiple interruptions. *Demonstrated ability to manage complex and multiple tasks within assigned time period. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction, perform detailed assignments, and compile information with accuracy.
