The Role
Lumen is looking for People & Culture Managers who are guided by business needs and human values and drive outcomes by tying the business strategy with HR strategic goals. People & Culture Managers act as a reliable guide and expert on topics related to talent, such as: talent assessment and development, business transformation, and leadership and workforce strategy.

This is a remote opportunity open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S.
The Main Responsibilities
The People & Culture Manager will act as the HR leader for the executive leaders (VP+) in the organization and will report into a People Strategist
Develop strong relationships with leaders to provide guidance and expertise on organizational and people-related strategy
Assist executive business leaders assess, prioritize and create organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures and processes
Analyze workforce trends to predict and plan future labor needs to support senior leaders in workforce planning and succession management
Work with executive business leaders to design and manage their long-term talent pipeline (e.g., talent review, succession planning, promotions process)
Review key business performance goals and their related talent implications with executive leaders
Coach leaders to improve leadership skills, relationships among teams/individuals and interpersonal communications, as well as give courageous and effective performance feedback

Chase leader execution of people practices (ex: Performance Review Completion, Engagement Survey Action Planning)
Compile and/or generate reports or decks of talent-related metrics
Assist employees with changes to compensation/benefits or provide employees with clarifications about their salary or benefits
Manage workflows
Perform activities supported by Shared Services and COEs
Conduct and manage employee relations investigations
Advise managers and employees on HR policies Mediate or resolve employee relations issues Lead or drive DIB initiatives with the business
Coordinate with employee resource groups and/or affinity networks to increase participation Provide training to employees

What We Look For in a Candidate
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
5-7 years of experience in complex organizations
Strong business acumen, and solid understanding of the business and the industry

Clear, comprehensive understanding of how talent and other HR initiatives are linked to business strategy
Ability to find new ways for HR to support the business strategy and create clear, actionable steps in support of the overall business strategy
Ability to synthesize large quantities of quantitative and qualitative data, recognize trends, tie back to business priorities and develop recommendations
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence aligned business unit or functional leader
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$103,711 - $138,281 in these states: AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY
$108,896 - $145,195 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI
$114,082 - $152,109 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
