Pet Care Specialist Bijou's Pet Resort is seeking a mature and extremely committed full-time Pet Care Specialist to provide the very best love and care to dogs and cats (furry kids) staying and playing at our resort. Bijou’s strives for perfection every day because our furry kids deserve it every day! This is both a difficult and rewarding job that requires patience, strength, motivation and a lot of hustle. Duties and Responsibilities Distribute and monitor dogs' food and water throughout the day Complete services animals are signed up for (Walks, 1:1 play, grooming and bathing etc.) Clean and maintain rooms, keeping them free of waste, fur/hair, and other unsanitary or hazardous materials Supervise play areas to ensure pet safety Keep records of animal health, feeding and walking schedules for each dog Review, understand and participate in communication with the team Follow policies and written procedures Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or GED certificate At least 18 years old Prior experience at a dog daycare facility, shelter, or in personal animal care is a plus, but not required Familiarity with various dog breeds Passion for taking care of animals Teamwork and communication skills Physical Stamina - must be able to work a six-to-seven-hour shift with minimal breaks and rest. During office hours, the pace quickens, and we move at a much faster rate Must be comfortable getting dirty, we work in rain, snow, hail Job Type: Full-time Pay: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 30-40 per week Workdays: Monday through Friday, Weekends and Holiday availability is imperative!
