The Position

Cleo is looking for a PMO Manager to join our Services team to manage a portfolio of projects and lead our amazing project management (PM) team. The ideal candidate is able to manage a team of PMs creating clarity, generating energy and delivering success. Your passion for growing people will make the difference! The PMO Manager is responsible for improving Cleo’s methodology and templates in order to meet the rigorous expectations of our customers. Qualified candidates will be results-oriented, process driven, customer focused, adept in conflict resolution, and skilled at prioritization and change management. This position can be based out of any of Cleo’s US office locations, or remotely from anywhere in the US – it is all about finding the right fit! Ideal candidates possess a strong background working with data translation tools and have interest in working directly with clients to provide consultative solutions based on their business needs.

What you will be doing

  • Maintain weekly, individual communication with your team members to monitor and provide feedback on their current and upcoming projects.  

  • Coach team members on positive customer interactions, time management, reporting and adherence to PM methodologies.

  • Measure and track individual PM performance levels. Provide timely and effective performance feedback. Responsible for developing and delivering PMO specific on-boarding training, on-going training, and performance improvement plans for low performers.

  • Continuously drive excellence in program management fundamentals to build our shared best-practices and Cleo methodology.

  • Challenge others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor.

  • Apply critical thinking and relevant project management methodologies to perform root cause analysis and drive action plans for resolutions and intended outcomes.

  • Perform strategy and data analysis to offer business insights and aid in executive-level decision making for both customer and Cleo Leadership Teams.

  • Lead proposal efforts, including completing project scoping and Level of Effort (LOE) assessments.

  • Create, execute, and revise integrated project plans for end-to-end planning and completion of large enterprise integration, data movement, and/or API projects.

  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects, ensuring all elements remain within scope.

  • Perform quality checks for scope and completeness prior to passing deliverables to clients.

  • Minimize Cleo’s exposure and risk on projects through proper tracking and change request execution.

  • Manage day-to-day client interaction and serve as the first line of defense for customer escalations.

  • Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and monitor receivables for projects.

  • Accurately forecast revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization.

  • Identify business development, add-on, and expansion product and professional services sales opportunities throughout the course of project execution.

  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to the Cleo Leadership Team, including routine project updates, escalations, and any financial concession requests.

  • Rapidly gain a thorough understanding of Cleo’s product capabilities.

  • You will be spending 50% of your time managing the current Project Management team and 50% in hands on Project Management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of project management, business management or engineering.

  • 10+ years of management/project management experience.

  • Experience and genuine passion for managing a diverse team.

  • Experience managing project teams (10+ resources) comprised of internal functional areas and third-party vendors.

  • Prior experience in EDI, MFT, API integration or data movement strongly preferred.

  • Certified PMP, PGMP and AGILE is a plus.
