Oracle Principal Sales Consultant in Helena, Montana
Job Description
Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
Most of the CSPs in North America have embarked on the 5G SA Network deployment journey. Typically, these deployments have been on a private cloud network on-prem and in some cases a pure public cloud deployment. However, there is also a growing interest in adopting Telco Cloud capabilities to really benefit from the economies of scale and efficiency that comes from a distributed Hyperscaler. As a Principal Sales Consultant, understanding and positioning Telco OCI strategy as well as a multi-cloud strategy is therefore important. In this role you would be solving CSPs next phases of their current 5G SA deployment challenges that involves network slicing, 5G analytics and 5G monetization via network exposure capabilities. In addition, you would need to untangle complex and critical cloud native architecture challenges for 5G workloads.
That being said, these very CSPs have a large number of subscribers on 3G and 4G that leverage Oracle communications products such as EAGLE STPs and 4G DRA and PCRF. Supporting the CSPs in this transition journey consolidating and re-architecting to an optimized 3G/4G networks is an additional responsibility required for this role.
As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Lead any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Develop new content and presentations tailored for a customer problems and business needs. In depth knowledge of competitors and industry trends. Demonstrate project management skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Develop trustful and seamless relationship for the mid/long term business with the key customers of the region.
Pace is fast in Oracle Communications. Taking Customer Inputs and articulating them to Product and Development engineering teams to influence the roadmap to solve the business requirements is key. SDLC leverages agile methodology, so a good grasp of agile concepts is very useful.
Required Skills:
Strong background in the Telecom Vertical (3G, 4G and 5G). Having a good understanding of IOT market is a plus.
Strong understanding of 3G, 4G EPC and 5G Core architecture, procedures, call flows, protocol stacks and Interface details
Strong understanding of Telco signaling protocols (SS7, SIGTRAN, SIP, Diameter, etc.).
Detailed understanding of end-to-end network call flows across service provider network domains (Wireless, Wireline, IoT).
Good working knowledge of EAGLE STP and Diameter Signaling Router (DSR/DRA), including database applications like Local Number Portability (LNP), G-Flex, Full Address Based Resolution (FABR), and HLR Router.
Good understanding of 3G/4G network signaling security threats, and ways to mitigate these network attacks using SS7 Firewall rules as defined by the GSMA FS.11 and FS.19 specifications.
Good understanding of signaling network topology including A/B/C/D links, linksets, routesets, Global Title Translation (GTT), and screening capabilities at the MTP/TCAP/MAP protocol layers.
Strong understanding of 4G LTE Diameter protocol, command codes, AVP’s, and common Interfaces (S6a, Gx, Gy, Rx, S13).
Good understanding of 3GPP standards and processes in the EPC, PCC and 5G Core space, both stage 2 and Stage 3
Strong understanding of NFV and K8s and Ancillary Cloud Native Tools – Jaeger, ELK Stack, Prometheus, CD Pipeline such as Jenkins etc that go along with 5G CNFs.
Good understanding of the Telco Cloud Strategy and deployment models (OCI, AWS etc)
Good understanding of Agile Methodology is big plus.
Sense of Ownership, Taking initiatives, Problem Solving, Driving issues to closure.

Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

California Pay Range: from $51.25 to $96.78 per hour; from $106,600 to $201,300 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 65/35 - 80/20.
Colorado Pay Range: from $51.97 to $96.78 per hour; from $108,100 to $201,300 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 65/35 - 80/20.
New York City Pay Range: from $52.26 to $96.78 per hour; from $108,700 to $201,300 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 65/35 - 80/20.
Washington Pay Range: from $52.26 to $96.78 per hour; from $108,700 to $201,300 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 65/35 - 80/20.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
