Responsible for the planning, design and build of security architectures; oversees the implementation of network and computer security and ensures compliance with corporate security policies and procedures.

Work You’ll Do
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and delivering in depth security architecture across a variety of products and services. Your next project could be anything from analysis of existing architecture for security concerns, to designing software and infrastructure systems with secure patterns. Other responsibilities includes as below
Designing and evaluating complex systems for security while collaborating with multiple stakeholders
Addressing a broad range of strategic security concerns in infrastructure and software engineering designs
Keeping up with new technologies for technical expertise and business analysis
Addressing challenges in design, business goals, and stakeholder constraints for secure architecture
Keep yourself abreast of new TTPs (Tactics, Techniques & Procedures) of the attackers, mimic them in your security assessments, quickly react to new threat scenarios and share them with the broader security teams across Oracle
Present research work in internal Oracle-wide security forums for the greater benefit of the firm.
Present in external security conferences, write white papers and blogs for the benefit of security community and help establish Oracle as a security leader
Collaborate with engineering leads to help them triage and fix security issues
Mentor members of the team in software security as a role model
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (e.g. Electrical Engineering)
15+ years industry experience with 7+ years in IT security in one or more of the following areas: software/product architecture, red (offensive) or blue (defensive) security
Demonstrable experience in designing and evaluating complex systems for security
Demonstrable experience in security leadership roles, especially as an architect
Aptitude for self-study, setting and achieving long term goals (for example, learning an unfamiliar programming language or technology)
Ability to effectively assess and communicate risks to project goals and design with appropriate levels of urgency to management and engineering staff
Ability to foster constructive dialogue and seek resolution when confronted with discordant views across stakeholders
Excellent organizational, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
This role offers domestically located flexibility of workplace, requiring 25% travel to our Columbia, MD or Denver, CO offices
Nice to Have
Experience working in a large cloud or Internet software company
Proficiency with multiple programming languages, preferably Go, Java, Python or C/C++ 5+ years industry experience in software development
Ability to perform manual source code reviews
Experience navigating and working with extremely large codebases is also highly desirable
Proficiency in performing mobile application assessment (iOS / Android)
Experience using common security assessment tools and techniques such as fuzzing, reverse engineering, hooking/debugging and etc.
Besides proficiency in advance web application pen testing, ability to discover zero-day vulnerabilities as demonstrated by creation of some CVEs.
Knowledge of common vulnerabilities in different types of software and programming languages, including:
How to test for/exploit them
Real world mitigations that can be applied
Familiarity with vulnerability classification frameworks (e.g. OWASP Top 10, CVSS, MITRE CVE)
Ability to threat model systems/applications/platforms to assess design and find flaws that can be exploited
Experience in project management
