Meta Privacy Program Manager, Data Protection in Helena, Montana
Summary:
Meta is seeking an experienced privacy professional with experience in technology products and innovation to join the Office of the DPO Product team. The purpose of the product team is to ensure that GDPR requirements are understood and built into Meta’s family of platforms from the earliest opportunity and to provide advice on the impact of any changes to existing products. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of operational experience (running cross-functional projects in multinational firms), subject matter knowledge (knowledge of the GDPR in product design is critical) and technical competence (a comfortable understanding of product lifecycles and data processing technologies, including the management of complex DPIA’s). The individual must have the ability to work independently and build strong collaborative relationships across both in-person and virtual teams along with being comfortable in an engineering environment. They need to be personable and a strong communicator, comfortable dissecting complex topics about the intersection of law, policy, technology, operations and data ethics. Lastly, we are looking for someone with a passion for privacy, intellectual curiosity and team spirit. Privacy Program Manager, Data Protection Responsibilities:
Integrate into product environments where the most challenging GDPR problems exist
Ensuring ODPO considered a critical partner by Cross Functional (XFN) product teams
Assist with ODPO assessment of product related GDPR risks
ODPO Advisor to complex DPIAs
Deliver training and awareness to product teams on key GDPR topics
Produce advice to product teams, with limited supervision, to the highest standards of clarity, objectivity and reasoning, ensuring concise and plain language that can be easily understood by engineers and product teams
Maintain up-to-date reporting, and deliver updates to leadership
Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years experience related to privacy and data protection
5+ years experience with the General Data Protection Regulation, as well as other global privacy laws, regulations, and industry guidelines, including those relevant to social media and Internet companies
5+ years experience in complex technology/product environments
