JOB SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, analyzes and identifies improvements for current department processes.
Documents and studies department processes utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools, time/motion studies and
other techniques. Manages small scope projects and implementations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages project team to develop and implement simple process efficiencies. Uses project management
tools which may include a project plan, business case/cost benefit tracker, training and communication
plan, etc.
Researches and documents current and new processes. May propose new process improvements and
efficiencies to manager and team members.
Analyzes and benchmarks process metrics against industry standards to ensure a “best practice” is
achieved when possible.
Creates and maintains process flow and other template documents used by the group.
Assists in implementing and training staff on new approved business processes by answering questions
and gathering feedback about training material.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Coordinates tasks among co-workers within the
Process Improvement team.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree required plus one year relevant experience. Bachelor degree preferred.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
None.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of
employees.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires basic analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Intermediate knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite Products).
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
