Facebook Product Manager, Customer Care - Legal & Privacy in Helena, Montana

Summary:

The Customer Care team’s mission is to give people a delightful and efficient support experience across the Facebook family of apps. The Legal and Privacy team’s mission is to empower and protect those who entertain, inform, and connect with the world on the Facebook family of apps. We are bringing these missions together to solve customer support focused problems that allow the Facebook family of apps to create a trusted and safe environment for creators, influencers, publishers, and the community all over the world — from helping an aspiring artist protect their art from being pirated, to helping broadcasters and films prevent illegal streaming, to protecting our platforms from the sale of counterfeit goods.As Facebook grows, we are looking for Product Managers who are passionate about solving intricate problems that enable our platforms to provide a trustworthy experience. In this role, you will build global products that answer questions such as, “How can we use machine learning to automatically detect and resolve copyright violations, so a creator can make a living doing what they love?”

Required Skills:

  1. Own and drive all aspects of product management for the Legal & Privacy vertical support team with world-class engineers, product designers, and data scientists

  2. Chart a clear, ambitious 2-3 year vision and strategy for how we can solve the needs of our customers

  3. Pair your strategic thinking with detailed execution and data analysis to identify the big bets that are most impactful for our customers

  4. Lead product strategy debates among cross-functional leaders during product reviews

  5. Collaborate with Data Science and research teams to reframe how we think about and measure success

  6. Lead the cross-functional team to transform a reactive and fragmented approach into a proactive and cohesive approach

  7. Empathize with and understand the intricacies of three key constituencies: (1) lawmakers and regulators, (2) the community of digital rights holders, and (3) Facebook, the company

  8. Become a respected thought leader on how we provide customer support that is available, effective, and supportive for creators, influencers, and publishers

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years experience in building software products as a product manager or product owner

  2. Experience as a product manager working with different sets of internal and external clients

  3. Experience using data to solve business problems

  4. Experience leading through influence

  5. Communication and presentation experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience building consumer or enterprise software

  2. Experience with legal, privacy, and/or regulatory issues

  3. Care deeply about upholding people’s rights and equal justice for all

  4. BA/BS/MS
