Delivery Manager (Professional Services) - Americas

Role Overview:

The Delivery Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the success of customer implementations within our Professional Services team, encompassing Database Consultants, Trainers, and Solution Architects. This role demands effective project coordination, comprehensive team management, and strategic oversight. Key to this role is the ability to engage effectively with all levels of leadership both within our organization and on the customer's side. The Delivery Manager will be responsible for the overall performance and development of the team, aligning with our mission to ensure optimal customer utilization of our products and maximized time-to-value delivery.

Ke y Responsibilities:

  • Team Management and Line Management: Oversee the professional development, performance management, and recruitment of Consultants within the Professional Services team. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

  • Project Management: Lead the full project lifecycle, ensuring projects meet scope, budget, time, and quality objectives leveraging standard project management methods and tooling.

  • Inter-Team Coordination: Actively coordinate between various internal teams and customer teams to ensure alignment, efficiency, and effective collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Partner Delivery Management: Oversee and coordinate project delivery through partners, ensuring alignment with project goals, quality standards, and timelines.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for team development, capacity, resource allocation, and project execution.

  • Leadership Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with leaders at all levels within our organization and with our customers, ensuring alignment and effective collaboration.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication across all levels, ensuring clear status reporting, stakeholder engagement, and escalation management.

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project and team risks, ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Resource and Financial Management: Oversee resource allocation and budgeting, ensuring efficient use of resources and financial health of projects.

  • Quality Assurance and Process Improvement: Uphold high standards in project delivery and seek continuous process improvements.

  • Coaching and Mentoring: Provide mentorship and career development guidance to team members.

Core Deliverables:

  • Successful delivery of projects, meeting all performance criteria, and demonstrating effective coordination between various teams within our organization and with our customers.

  • Effective management and development of the Professional Services team.

  • Strategic planning and execution for team and project success.

  • Comprehensive financial and project reporting.

  • Continuous improvement in team performance and project processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years in project/program management, with substantial experience in team management and development, preferably in a technical or database-focused environment.

  • Proven leadership skills and experience in line management.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a customer-first approach.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office, and Google Suite.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Detail oriented with excellent follow through skills and a sense of urgency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Postgres or other database technologies.

  • Advanced project management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMI, PMP).

  • Experience in strategic planning and team development.

  • Experience in delivering technical projects..

  • Having proficiency in a language other than English will be advantageous.
