Job Description

Manage people for product development programs or projects focused on the delivery of a product through the design process, and into a finished state for external customers.

Manage people for product development programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system through the design process, and into a finished state for external customers. Plan and direct resource schedules as well as project budgets. Monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical matters. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the product/program/project on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area preferred. Prefer seven years of project management, product design or related experience.

Responsibilities

Oracle’s Cloud organization is expanding its Executive Program Management Office, with the option to be remote or based in one of our various US based HUBS: Downtown Seattle, Austin, Broomfield, Santa Clara or Nashua. The team at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment. We are unencumbered and will need your contribution to make continue to support our world class engineering center with the focus on excellence.

We are specifically looking for an experienced and Program Management Director to join the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Group. You will be responsible for leading a team that manages complex, cross- organizational programs that impact both product and business for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and will have exposure to multiple critical business initiatives. Our team is expanding and a strong leader is needed.

You will partner with every team in Oracle to make these projects happen. The space is fun, large, cross cutting and complex (truly, complex). You will manage the development and implementation process for all aspects of interdepartmental delivery, plan and direct schedules and drive progress towards the larger goal and vision. DESIRED SKILLS

  • 6+ years’ experience developing and implementing large, cross cutting programs

  • 3+ years in people management experience, in a high-pressure environment

  • You display a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically.

  • You are a Self-starter and comfortable operating at a fast pace with minimal direction

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, meaning you are able to accurately articulate project status and risks to an Executive audience.

  • You can own and manage multiple programs simultaneously while dealing with ambiguity.

  • You possess strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills leveraging data.

  • You are results oriented, meaning you are focused on driving results, even if it means rolling up your sleeves to get it done

  • You are a natural collaborator with a proven ability to work across teams to meet tight deadlines.

  • You possess a technology background that enables you to understand the complexities of the sophisticated architecture of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

  • Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills

  • You can work well with senior leaders within all of Oracle (from engineering to business) to drive results for core business initiatives.

  • You work well in ambiguity, can work with your team to dive into a problem and create a solution.
