Oracle Program Mgmt Sr Director-ProdDev in Helena, Montana

Job Description

This is a highly visible role where you will own execution and data governance across all the capacity planning across OCI. You will work with a diverse set of stakeholders including senior executives, architects, product managers, development and design teams, and external partners to take ideas, turn them into mature processes, allowing us to aid the world’s most demanding customers.

The successful candidate has a global point of view, with the ability to drill down into the details. You can switch gears quickly and efficiently, keeping up to date with your team and tracking progress. You must be able to lead operations teams and understand prioritization to quickly address problems. Your organization will have worldwide 24/7 coverage and will manage all capacity requests and escalations. You will own the handover of GPUs as well as compute to customers, creating specific customer capacity pools and driving key customer utilization to maximize margin. You’ll has a passion for solving difficult and often ambiguous problems in a collaborative, agile work environment, a knack for creativity and innovative thinking, can lead a conversation in a room with any level of staff, influence stakeholders to arrive at the correct outcomes, and finally has a strong sense of empathy for both customers and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the compute and GPU handover

Help define and deliver complex programs with competing priorities by influencing roadmaps and priorities of key stakeholders

Set goals across the team and work to define a plan that gets you there

Work across teams and connect with the sales field team to understand capacity and its patterns.

Own key metrics such as compute/GPU utilization, out-of-capacity errors, and red racks (rack expediting)

Work with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain our roadmap, setting appropriate expectations and ensuring our product and services meet our high operational excellence standards.

Ensure high standards and consistency for the Oracle customer experience.

Ensure that resource requirements needed to support a particular program are in place.

Provide ongoing written and verbal release status updates to senior leadership.

Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in response to uncertain situations, directing changes through appropriate review and approval mechanisms.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience relevant to functional area

5+ years management experience of mid to large teams

7+ years’ experience in operations

A demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically, to work across a matrixed organization.

Self-driven problem solver; able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and customer-focused environment.

Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new tools and software quickly.

Understands data center growth, build-out, and operations.

Demonstrated understanding of sales field teams, customer growth patterns, and region utilization.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) at different levels in the org, engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience using agile software development practices and associated tooling.

Judgement, maturity, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing multiple projects at once.

Experience managing software and/or hardware development

Experience managing cloud development programs

Experience in business operations

Experience in data center operations

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $161,700 to $338,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
