We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in establishing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive quality assurance program across our diverse software development initiatives. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the highest standards of quality for our application development, web development, and ServiceNow platform projects. As our QA Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our quality assurance efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute robust testing strategies. You'll be responsible for creating and maintaining a suite of test cases, conducting both manual and automated testing, and implementing best practices to identify and prevent potential issues before they reach production. Your role will involve not just finding bugs, but also analyzing root causes, suggesting improvements, and contributing to the overall enhancement of our development processes. In addition to strong technical skills and documentation skills, you'll need to be an effective communicator, able to translate complex technical issues into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You'll play a key role in fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization, educating team members on QA best practices and advocating for user-centric, high-quality software solutions. Education and Experience: // · A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; AND · 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance, preferably in application and web development. · Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Competencies: /Knowledge of:/ · Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, best practices, and software development life cycle (SDLC); · Test automation and management tools and frameworks; · Experience with bug tracking systems; · Knowledge of version control systems; · Familiarity with agile development methodologies; · Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript); · Experience with API testing; · Familiarity with ServiceNow development and testing processes. /Ability to:/ · Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies and processes for application, web, and ServiceNow development projects; · Design, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software quality and functionality; · Create and maintain comprehensive, clear, and well-organized documentation for QA processes, test plans, test cases, and test results; · Collaborate with developers, product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and identify potential quality issues; · Perform manual and automated testing across various platforms and environments; · Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using appropriate tools and systems; · Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to the development team and management; · Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies; · Provide exceptional customer service and communication to technical and non-technical individuals; · Manage ongoing project work with day-to-day support requests; · Identify problems, emerging issues and trends, and establish strategies to address them; * * Does this sound like you?
