Job Summary

Entry Level to assist and explore various areas of Quality & Innovation Excellence.

The EDGE Program provides early-career professionals a unique combination of approximately 3 rotational job over 3-4 years, structured training curriculum, and direct access to senior-level business leaders. The program is designed to accelerate career progression and broaden the development of participants promoting a successful career at BV.

Key Responsibilities

Assist teams in the following functions:

  • Process & Procedure development

  • Value Creation and Value Optimization activities

  • Shop Quality Inspection administration

  • Quality Auditing

  • Project Quality activities

Management Responsibilities

Individual Contributor

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, business, construction science, or related field.

Familiarity with quality management software and database management desired.

Preferred Competencies

Technical:

  • Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) - intermediate; SharePoint.

  • Human relation skills (conflict management and resolution) - basic.

  • Database management skills - basic.

Non-technical:

Demonstrates basic: Process management, conflict management, total work systems, written communications, composure, managerial courage, and decision quality.

Minimum Qualifications

All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

  • Must have a Bachelors (or more advanced degree)

  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher

  • Must have less than 2 years professional experience relevant to BV, Internship experience does not count toward maximum of 2 years

  • Open to performing various functions and relocating as needed over the next 3-4 years

  • Required intermittent travel to project sites

  • Required short-term and/or long-term relocation to project sites and regional offices

  • Additional criteria for selection will be based on interview responses that demonstrate ability for success, and awareness of the importance of continual development and growth

  • All applicants must have work authorization and will not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Normal office environment; may include heavy industrial construction exposure.

Occasional physical work conditions: Capable of walking 5 miles and climbing stairs to 300 foot height; walk, climb stairs, ladders, move in/out of vehicles; lift or move up to 25 pounds; supplier or construction site environment has frequent exposure to vibration and loud noise, and occasional exposure to airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, slippery uneven walking surfaces, and risk of electrical shock.
