Westaff is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse (PRN) for a local healthcare company in Sheridan, WY! Schedule: Perm Part-Time (AP) . Pay: $5.00 - $100.00 per service.**PRN positions (Per Diem/ Paid Per Set-Up): As a Rotech employee you would be able to create your own schedule by accepting the number of set-ups you would like to complete each week Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Maintains a complete listing of all current respiratory patientsProvides initial and ongoing phone contacts with all respiratory patients per Rotech policy and procedureProvides in-home visits to patients per Rotech’s policy and procedureConducts patient assessment per Rotech’s policy and procedure and the physician’s order Patient assessment may include but is not limited to:Verbal assessment (e.g., patient history, symptom review, etc.)Physical assessment (e.g., lung auscultation, blood pressure, etc.)Diagnostics (e.g., spirometry, oximetry, sleep studies)Provides patient education as applicable. Education may include but is not limited to:Respiratory equipment use and maintenancePhysician’s prescription for equipmentImportance of compliance with physician’s prescriptionBenefits of therapyPotential consequences of noncompliancePotential adverse reactions/side effects from therapySets up all highly technical respiratory equipment including but not limited to:Invasive VentilatorNoninvasive VentilatorInfant MonitorsOther high-tech respiratory equipment as defined by scope of service at the branch (e.g., cough assist, negative pressure ventilation, IPPB, etc.)Monitors ongoing function of highly technical respiratory equipment including but not limited to:Invasive VentilatorNoninvasive VentilatorInfant MonitorsOther high-tech respiratory equipment as defined by scope of service at the branch (e.g., cough assist, negative pressure ventilation, IPPB, etc.)Maintains documentation of all services provided and all work performed per Rotech’s policies and proceduresAssumes on-call responsibilities for phone consultations during non-business hours as outlined by Rotech’s policySupports orientation and training of other personnel at the direction of the Area ManagerPerforms other duties as required by state licensure lawPerforms other duties and responsibilities as defined by the Area Manager Qualifications:Employment is contingent onBackground investigation (company-wide)Drug screen (when applicable for the position)Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)Required Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED equivalent, requiredCredentials as a respiratory therapist, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is preferred but other medical credentials may be acceptable (e.g., RN, LPN, LPV) depending upon state licensure lawsMust be licensed in primary state of home office as required by state law and provide a copy of license to the locationMay be required to obtain license in neighboring states as required by service area of locationPreferred Education and/or ExperienceCompletion of an accredited program/degree in respiratory care preferredNursing or other paramedical training may be acceptable depending upon state licensure lawsHome respiratory care experience is preferredDegree in respiratory therapy or related science is preferredOne year of related work experience, preferredSkills and CompetenciesAccurately perform simple mathematical calculationsEffectively communicate in English; both oral and writtenInterpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive informationMulti-task along with attention to detailSelf-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skillsWork independently and as part of a teamMachines, Equipment and Technical AbilitiesEmail transmission and communicationInternet navigation and researchMicrosoft applications; Outlook, Word and ExcelOffice equipment; fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer and/or tabletPhysical DemandsLift and carry office equipment at timesRequires close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperworkRequires contact with patients and equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogensRequires occasional lifting and transporting of patient equipmentRequires sitting, walking, standing, talking and listeningRequired to comply with Rotech Respiratory Protection & N95 Mask Fit Testing PolicyMedical Evaluation and Fit Testing Compliance in a timely manner Annual Recertification Keep face clean-shaven to ensure N95 Mask face-seal protection per OSHA guidelinesDon’t miss out- apply TODAY for our Respiratory Therapist Paid Per Service (internal) / Respiratory Therapist / Nurse (PRN) (external) Position in Sheridan, WY!
