The organization provides services in 50 locations across our four-state region and maintains Goodwill retail stores and job training sites in Montana, Utah and southern Idaho locations.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for relationship building with both the community and within our own organization. You will be responsible for focusing on recruiting and filling retail job openings in our Goodwill retail stores so there is a sufficient workforce to achieve productivity and other retail targets. This position will focus on recruitment and retention. You will be responsible for seeking Goodwill leadership’s input on initial recruitment materials, job fairs, partnering with managers and human resources to develop consistent, proven practices to fill vacancies.

Recruitment

  • Dedicate time with retail staff to have an understanding of skills needed and essential job functions of retail positions being recruited

  • Utilize recruitment platforms such as Open Hire, Facebook, Job Fairs, Promoted Posts, etc.

  • Gather, compile, and maintain current labor market and business data

  • Developing staffing solutions based on successful recruitment methods

Interviewing/Hiring:

  • Conduct initial interviews with applicants

  • Introduce to store manager/retail supervisor – make hiring decision

Building Rapport:

  • Develop and continue relationships with employees, community organizations and leaders to assist employees in progressing their career pathway

  • Develop relationships and engagement activities with workforce development agencies and candidate sources that result in partnerships and employment opportunities

  • Develop an outreach and marketing plan to recruit qualified retail applicants

Required Skills

  • Excellent oral, written, organizational and record keeping skills

  • Operate applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other basic office equipment

Required Experience

  • 0-2 years

  • Proven experience with recruitment, job development, workforce development and/or job placement.

  • Experience relating to individuals at all levels

  • Proven interviewing, counseling, and customer service skills

  • Working knowledge of community resources and employers

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community.

  • Applicant must be physically and mentally able to perform all requirements of the job.

  • Applicant must pass a background and DMV check.
