Randstad US RSR Operational Excellence Director in Helena, Montana

Position Summary

The Director of Operational Excellence- is a client facing role supporting the growth, performance and retention of existing RPO clients in a portfolio. The position supports Client Delivery Regions to drive performance, innovation, and strategies and to ensure that delivery teams are optimizing quality, cost savings and continuous improvement while meeting the client's delivery goals.

The Director of Operational Excellence will work with delivery teams to:

  • Plan & standardize client facing materials including business reviews, executive summaries, analytical reports

  • Plan & standardize internal tools to support forecasting & financial management

  • Monitor account performance to identify early warning signs of poor performance

  • Deliver and manage complex process improvement projects

  • Conduct process and/or technology focused gap analysis

  • Develop detailed design documentation such as process flows and narratives

  • Understand Client Delivery issues through root cause analysis

  • Partner with client delivery teams and clients to implement strategies impacting: Cycle time, SLA attainment, Recruiting costs, Hiring processes, Talent engagement, customer satisfaction

  • Work with delivery teams to compile and share program performance with client via quarterly and annual business reviews. Suggests opportunities for improvement where applicable

  • Measure, compile, and compare actual data with benchmarks. Analyze and interpret data to diagnose problems and gaps in performance and service delivery

  • Interface with Recruiting and Innovation COE to understand strategic roadmap and bring ideas to client delivery teams as part of solutions


  • Minimum:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related field

  • Preferred:

  • MBA in related field

  • Six Sigma black belt


  • 5-7+ years of combined business, recruiting, and operations leadership and demonstrated successes within a complex organization.

  • 3+ years of experience managing and directing professional recruiters within a client service role.

  • 2+ years of experience managing Managers

  • Must be detailed oriented with a concern for quality expressed by continually initiating system and process improvements.

  • Ability to negotiate agreements and/or reach consensus with all levels and positions within the organization.

  • Superior consulting, leadership, management, interpersonal and mentoring skills.

  • Ability to build strong, effective relationships as a leader, team member, and Randstad resource.

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.

  • Strong business acumen, hardworking, high integrity and a strong desire to succeed.

  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and presentation skills.

  • Effective time management skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Capable of working independently in a self-directed capacity, as well as in a team environment.

  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Experience in resolving conflicts and gaining cooperation among peers, staff and client.


  • 5+ years of experience with Six Sigma, Lean, process re-engineering methodologies

  • Full Life cycle recruiting
