Job Purpose

The Sales and Demand Analyst is responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of sales-related information. They must collect sales and forecasting records and evaluate performance and interpret sales and forecasting data, providing insights to drive informed decision-making, and supporting the development of sales strategies. The development and tracking of key performance indictors will be critical to enhance the understanding of the business and to improve decision-making.

The Sales and Demand Analyst will create both standardized and custom reports, conduct quantitative product and sales analysis, and develop standardized tools, methodologies and business processes aimed at improving operational efficiency.

Principal Accountabilities

Sales and Demand Performance Analysis :

  • Analyze sales data to assess performance against targets and goals.

  • Identify trends, patterns, and outliers in sales metrics to understand key drivers of success or areas for improvement.

  • Generate ad hoc reporting for Sales, Marketing, Pricing, Business Planning, and Product Management

  • Collect, analyze, evaluate and report data to increase sales productivity

  • Collect sales records & trends and evaluate performance measured against sales quotas

  • Analyze sales and performance records, interpret results of overall sales, recommend promotion or change of personnel in under-productive departments

  • Working with team members to plan, coordinate, and execute demand planning activities

  • Developing effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns

  • Proposing and implementing solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy

  • Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management

  • Scheduling regular forecast review meetings with management

  • Monitoring and reporting on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies

  • Supporting management with risk assessments and mitigation activities

  • Assist management in developing and reviewing the sales budget and rolling sales forecast including sales to budget variance analysis

  • Provide customized reporting and recommendations in support of ongoing business decisions or initiatives

  • Conduct quantitative analysis including but not limited to ROI, trending, identification and assessment of opportunity and risk, forecasting, regressions, correlation, cannibalization and probability modeling

Reporting & Dashboards

  • Create and maintain comprehensive sales reports and dashboards for various stakeholders.

  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency in reporting, highlighting key performance indicators.

Customer Segmentation and Analysis:

  • Segment customers based on various criteria and analyzed their behavior and preferences.

  • Provide recommendations for targeted marketing and sales initiatives to specific customer segments.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

  • Educational Requirements : A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Business, finance or accounting.

  • Professional Experience : A minimum of 5 years of experience working inside a ERP system (preferably SAP) and Power Bi.

  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications with excellent proficiency in excel. Ability to build and maintain complex computer applications and programs that perform analysis, organize data and create reports from various sources.

  • Exceptional Organizational Skills : Demonstrates excellent planning and organizational capabilities and takes on multiple projects.

  • Effective Communication : Strong communication and presentation skills are essential for this role.

  • Solid business acumen, analytical skills, management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellence : result and accuracy orientated and ability to strategy, tactics, and performance metrics.

Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)

  • The salary range for this position is $80,010 - $100,010. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
