As a Security DevOps Engineer, a typical day might include the following:
Securely bringing planet-scale services into production and keeping them running with high availability.
Deploying and managing systems to enable end-to-end encrypted meetings for end users, as well as internal platforms to enable secure deployments throughout Zoom.
Architecting how to deploy applications securely with maximum automation, and helping design how to best keep the lights on.
Designing and maintaining security infrastructure and continuously driving the organization toward better standards.
You have experience with or are excited to learn:
Writing production backend applications in any language
Shipping and running services in cloud environments, with a focus on AWS
Understanding of how cloud services can be secured, and you are able to articulate to others how they can better achieve best practices
Cryptography and PKI, especially as it pertains to TLS/SSL
Passion for automation
Technologies our team works with:
Python / Go (Golang) / C++ / Java
IaC - Terraform, CloudFormation, etc
Microservice architecture & orchestration - Kubernetes / K8S / ECS
Secret / credential management - HashiCorp Vault
Cryptography / PKI - SSL, TLS certificate management
Access Control Policy / RBAC
Linux / Unix system administration
Bash or shell scripting
