Pearson Senior Creative Technologist in Helena, Montana

The Role:
We’re looking for a Senior Creative Technologist to join our innovative product teams and push the boundaries of learning experiences. You will be a key member, collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to bring cutting-edge interactive experiences to life. You will blend design thinking with advanced technical skills to develop engaging and impactful learning solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Cutting-Edge Experiences:
Create interactive prototypes that seamlessly integrate design and functionality.
Explore and implement innovative technologies like AI/ML, AR/VR, and game mechanics into learning experiences.
Develop engaging and impactful learning solutions using advanced front-end technologies.
Support iterative optimization by managing and maintaining site integrated Martech that supports AB Testing and Personalisation.
Lead Technical Innovation:
Contribute to the development of interactive experiences, writing clean and efficient code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Investigate and evaluate emerging technologies and their potential applications in learning.
Design and manage the deployment for customisations for use in AB tests and personalisation experiments, using Martech tools like Blueconic and VWO. Work with support teams to ensure the accurate collection of data, through to the development of actionable insights.
Leverage CDP platforms to integrate and utilize user data for personalized content delivery and experience optimization.
Collaborate & Communicate:
Work closely with designers, product managers, engineers, and content developers to ensure seamless integration and a smooth development process.
Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration between front-end designs, user testing frameworks, and backend systems.
Translate complex technical concepts, including A/B testing methodologies and CDP integrations, for non-technical stakeholders.
Research & Iteration:
Participate in user research and testing sessions to gather feedback and iterate on prototypes based on user needs.
Design and execute A/B tests to assess the effectiveness of design and functionality decisions, contributing to continuous improvement.
Stay updated on industry trends in A/B testing, CDP utilization, and front-end development best practices to drive innovation.
Design System:
Contribute to the development and maintenance of reusable design components and patterns within the design system.
Utilize Figma to create, manage, and refine design system assets, ensuring consistency and scalability across products.
Collaborate with designers to translate Figma files into functional, code-ready components.
Leverage Figma’s features to streamline workflows and enhance cross-functional collaboration.
Create and maintain documentation and guidelines within the design system to ensure seamless adoption by product and engineering teams.
Advocate for best practices in accessibility, responsiveness, and performance in the design and implementation of system components.
About You:
5+ years of experience as a Creative Technologist, Front-End Developer, or similar role.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
Strong portfolio demonstrating a deep understanding of design principles, interactive experiences, and front-end technologies.
Expertise in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including libraries like React, Vue, or Angular) and BluConic.
Experience with design tools: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Framer, etc.
Experience with AI/ML, AR/VR, and game development (preferred).
Experience developing Design Systems and token creation /mapping.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Passion for learning and a strong interest in educational technology.
Experience with educational content and learning platforms (preferred).
