The Lead Research Analyst designs, modifies, and trains OPI staff on data collection models and data collection requirements. This position designs data quality assurance and control procedures, interprets rule, law, and data specification to update business rules and procedures. The Lead Research Analyst is required to coordinate research and data collection projects with various other state agencies, federal agencies, and other states department of education.__ _Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Behaviors):_ · Knowledge of principles, practices and theories of data collection, research, and analysis. · Knowledge in problem-solving skills: ability to apply statistical analysis · Knowledge of database concepts and methods · Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services · Knowledge and experience with project management principles and best practices · Knowledge of the theory, principles, and techniques of research, planning and organization, data collection strategies and procedures, and data collection instruments · Ability to design complex queries in SQL · Ability with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks · Ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines, while maintaining consistently higher levels of product quality · Ability to work under multiple deadlines with assigned funding · Ability to work both independently and effectively as a member of a team · Ability to interpret law, policy, and rule. _Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience_): _· A Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field. · Five or more years of related experience. · Other combinations of education or experience may be substituted *Does this sound like you?_* Please tell us how and why by submitting your resume online, including any veterans or disability preference documentation.When submitting the required documents, you must check the “relevant document” box to ensure your attachments are uploading correctly to the specific application for this position.Documents not requested will not be considered in the recruitment process.
