We are looking for an energetic and creative Engineering Manager to join our team and be part of our vision. You will lead a talented team of engineers who are dedicated to building products that delight our customers. If we are successful, people will be able to both easily analyze and understand data from a wide range of industries from healthcare to manufacturing and agriculture to transportation.

Some of the things you'll be doing include…

  • Managing a team building analytics software that is highly performant.

  • Recruiting and hiring a diverse team that pushes the boundaries of technology and user experience.

  • Help team members to improve their skills and help them to get where they want to go.

  • Working across Tableau and Salesforce to integrate our technologies across products.

  • Work with sibling teams to coordinate efforts and work towards a single vision of the Dashboard Applications team.

  • Analyzing telemetry to make informed decisions on future features.

  • Helping product managers and designers iteratively create and refine their plans.

  • Working with the entire team in a collaborative environment where all suggestions are welcomed, and all ideas thoughtfully considered.

  • You're Experienced. You have software development and management experience. You have a track record of delivering innovative production quality software. You are experienced with Agile development methods, modern DevOps practices and operational excellence practices for supporting live services.

  • You’re Technical. You are comfortable with technical deep dives into complex code bases and can offer advice and guidance to software engineers.

  • You’re a Strong Communicator. You distill complex information down to the key elements and communicate effectively across disciplines and to various levels of an organization. You’re comfortable searching across a large organization to find the right person to answer your questions.

  • You’re a Team Builder. You have the experience to identify and develop strong talent. You build effective teams with a culture of curiosity, collaboration, customer empathy and focus on results.

  • You’re Quality-Focused. You are not satisfied by the status quo and inspire your team to continuously improve the quality of our code, systems and engineering practices. You ensure your team regularly delivers pragmatic solutions that drive towards a long-term architectural strategy.

  • You're Customer-Focused. You have opinions about how users will use the product, and what problem they might run into. Being interested and willing to dive into and understand customers' problems is both helpful and rewarding.

  • You're Self-Motivated. You take initiative and can turn ideas into real features. You enjoy discussing use cases & user flows with product managers & designers, and contributing ideas to those discussions.

  • You’re Collaborative. You enjoy collaborating with, learning from, and teaching others so we all can become better.

  • You’re Respectful. You treat your colleagues with honesty, kindness, and respect and actively do your part to create a positive work environment.

  • You’re Humble. You are unafraid to ask questions when you don’t know the answer, and you approach disagreements with the possibility that you might be wrong.
