Humana Senior Professional, Production - Dialogue Developer in Helena, Montana

Humana's Marketing Organization is seeking an experienced Senior Production Professional, Dialogue Developer to join the Exstream Dialogue team working remote anywhere in the US. As the Senior Professional, you will contribute to the development of dynamic document solutions under the direction of the Lead. You will work closely with product managers and Humana business units with the need to be receptive to feedback. Solutions could be complex in nature, cross-organizational in scope, and of significant importance to the organization's commitment to enhancing the consumer experience.

As the Senior Professional, you will also be responsible for contributing to large scale technology initiatives related to Dialogue. Programming/page design competence is regarded as a fundamental skill for the position with an emphasis on proactive initiative and a persistent can-do attitude. You will take guidance from the Lead to understand which roadmaps, rules, etc. to code and will manage the requirements/coding for these specific items and then use test driver files to complete unit testing to confirm all requirements have been coded properly.

Key Role Functions

  • Collaborate daily with the Senior Products PM's and other Dialogue Developers to ensure all expected product requirements are coded and met

  • Consult internally with other Dialogue Developers for knowledge share

  • Consult/Review requirements with business partners, providing feedback and/or comments, and troubleshoot any implementation issues, consulting on Technical Builds

  • Work in the OpenText Dialogue application with document compositions, style sheets, variables, rules, functions, tables, and document flow to determine best approach for coding options

  • Conduct unit testing to ensure all requirements/coding is working properly and data is flowing into the communications properly

  • Work defects as they come in - these require immediate attention and correction

  • Review requirements with business partners, providing feedback and/or comments, and troubleshoot any implementation issues; consulting on Technical Builds

  • Responsible for high-level, independent, decision-making

  • Build automated document composition solutions in OT Exstream (document composition software) and be willing to take on increasingly complex tasks in putting together cohesive communication solutions

  • Ideate and produce page layout prototypes in rapid fashion

  • Incorporate solid graphic and information design in the construction of variable information communication products to build cohesive communications

Required Qualifications

  • Dynamic document creation with 5+ years of experience developing within the OT Exstream Dialogue, or other Customer Communication Management software

  • Driver file mapping and understanding of how to map variables to be used in document creation

  • Workflow and knowledge of document compositions, style sheets, variables, rules, functions, tables, and document flow to determine best approach for coding options

  • Desktop publishing knowledge

  • Detailed application analysis experience (unit testing)

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently to monitor and troubleshoot observations and/or concerns related to dialogue development-to include researching issues/defects to determine root cause

  • Project management experience

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • Working experience in advanced tables, AFP/PDF output creation, PDF-Pass through, language layer, multi-language output creation and double-byte (DBCS) application creation experience highly desirable

  • Experience with other Customer Communication Management software such as Smart Communication is a plus

  • Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat (we are not seeking graphic designers without programming skills)

  • The ability to think strategically, develop creative solutions using a variety of facts available, and synthesize findings on the go

Additional Information

This is a nationwide remote role that will operate on Eastern Standard Time business hours.

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$76,800 - $105,800 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
