Our team (OCI Horizon Data Science & Analytics team) is mainly passionate about developing analytics and machine learning solutions and applications that lead to actionable insights and inform decisions that affect nearly every aspect of the OCI business: engineering, support, operations, finance, and more.

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Software Engineer with expertise in DevOps/ML Ops, Infrastructure, and deployment to help build innovative analytics and machine learning infrastructure to host solutions for Oracle cloud customers, services and products and play a key role in our data-driven initiatives.

As our Software Engineer, you will focus on the development, maintenance, and deployment of our analytics and machine learning infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring the security, efficiency, and successful deployment of our ML models and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable infrastructure for analytics and ML pipelines.

  • Lead the deployment of analytics pipelines and ML models, ensuring efficiency and minimal downtime.

  • Streamline and automate deployment processes and manage CI/CD pipelines to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Maintain high standards for infrastructure security and compliance.

  • Collaborate with data scientists and business intelligent engineers to meet technical requirements and address operational issues effectively.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, ML Ops, Infrastructure, and deployment

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Experience with Linux and orchestration/automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Chef, etc.)

  • Solid experience with CI/CD tools and deployment automation of analytics and ML pipelines.

  • Experience in deploying code within change management procedures.

  • Strong understanding of cloud concepts and platforms.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Knowledge of agile-based iterative development.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

  • 5+ years of industry experience in Cloud infrastructure, DevOps, ML Ops, Infrastructure, and deployment.

  • Certifications in cloud technologies and DevOps methodologies.

  • Experience working with large-scale systems, high-traffic environments, or sophisticated data ecosystems.

  • Extensive coding experience using Python and experience with distributed computing framework (i.e. Spark, Hive) preferred.

  • Experience in cloud technical support, operations, NOC or similar is preferred.

  • Experience solving sophisticated software and/or networking issues is preferred.

  • Knowledge of AWS, OCI and/or other IaaS environments.

  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms.

  • Experience with productionizing Machine Learning models is a plus.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
