Nutanix is looking for a Senior Competitive Analyst to join our Competitive Intelligence team. As a key player on our team, you will analyze market trends, competitor products, and sales strategies to provide actionable insights that influence our go-to-market strategy, product roadmap, and field execution. This role requires a deep understanding of enterprise IT, a sharp analytical mindset, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, strategic guidance for stakeholders across the company.
About the Team
You’ll be part of our global Competitive Intelligence team—a highly skilled and collaborative group that provides critical insights to sales, marketing, and product teams. We operate remotely, ensuring we attract the best talent regardless of location.
While this role is primarily remote, occasional travel (less than 20%) may be required for customer meetings, internal events, and industry conferences. This is a high-impact position with visibility across the organization, offering a unique opportunity to shape Nutanix’s competitive strategy at a pivotal time in the market.
Your Role
Conduct deep competitive analysis on industry trends, competing technologies, pricing, and market positioning.
Monitor emerging technologies and market dynamics to identify strategic opportunities and threats.
Collaborate with product management, marketing, sales, and sales enablement to provide real-time competitive insights and recommendations.
Develop high-impact sales enablement materials, including battlecards, competitive briefs, and executive presentations.
Deliver engaging enablement sessions at internal sales events, new hire training, and quarterly sales briefings.
Support sales teams in competitive customer engagements, helping them position Nutanix effectively against key rivals.
Prepare and present strategic reports and briefings to senior leadership, ensuring competitive insights drive decision-making.
What You Will Bring
5+ years of experience in enterprise datacenter technologies, in roles such as technical sales, sales enablement, consulting, or technical product marketing.
Deep technical expertise in server virtualization, containers, storage, networking, security, application automation, databases, and public cloud.
A strong analytical mindset, with the ability to evaluate complex data and translate it into actionable competitive strategies.
A proven track record of developing high-impact sales enablement content and training materials.
Exceptional technical writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience engaging with sales, marketing, product, and engineering teams.
Familiarity with competitive product evaluations, performance benchmarking, and proof-of-concept testing.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and deeply competitive, with a passion for winning in the marketplace.
Work Arrangement
Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 146,880 and USD $ 293,880 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
