A server is responsible for providing excellent customer service and serving food and drinks to customers in a restaurant or food service establishment. The Server will be responsible for taking customer orders, serving food and drinks, and providing excellent customer service. This includes greeting customers, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring that customers have an enjoyable dining experience.ResponsibilitiesGreeting customers with a pleasant smile, seating them following proper rotation, and presenting menus (when needed) in a timely fashion.Accurately taking drink orders and presenting them to customers.Accurately taking and processing customer orders and relaying them to the kitchen.Accurately taking and processing customer payments using the POS system.Handling cash and credit card transactions in a timely manner.Answering customer questions about menu items and specials.Answering phone calls, completing take-out orders, accurately bagging them, and presenting them to customers.Recommending menu items and suggesting upsells.Ensuring tables are clean and properly set up, clearing plates, and resetting tables for the next customer.Collaborating with the kitchen and other staff members to ensure timely service.Checking on customers throughout their visit to ensure satisfaction.Assisting with opening and closing duties as needed.Maintaining a positive and professional attitude towards team and customers alike.Communicating effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations.Assisting with setting up tables and preparing the dining area before service.Maintaining a clean and organized workspace and dining area.SkillsStrong communication and customer service skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.Ability to lift and carry heavy trays of food and drinks.BenefitsServers make great tips here, making this a highly competative position.Full time servers are eligible for health insurance benefits after sucessful completion of probationary period.Employee meals and discountsFlexible schedulingGreat family environment with local business owners
