The College Board Social Video Specialist, College Search in Helena, Montana

About the Team

The Communications and Marketing team is responsible for building and protecting the College Board reputation, overseeing organization's communications efforts, and growing the organization's three highest priority areas: AP, SAT Suite, and BigFuture, which are designed to increase educational access and opportunity for all students. We are a close knit, dedicated team with a track record of success in promoting the work of the College Board to a variety of audiences, including students, parents, educators, policymakers, the media, member organizations and staff.

About the Opportunity

As our Video Content Specialist, you'll be an instrumental individual contributor in the ideation, creation, and deployment of video-based social media content for BigFuture. You'll focus on projects related to college search and planning and evolve strategies based on market demand and competitive analysis. You'll cultivate and amplify positive and consistent experiences in every interaction with our brand, using your creativity and storytelling abilities. Focused on BigFuture, you will be responsible for producing and publicizing high-quality informational video content that demonstrably engages our college-bound audience. Your social media videos and tutorials will help make an impact on our students by helping them discover and understand how to achieve their best future college experience.

In this role, you will:

Implement (40%)

Develop, schedule and post authentic, engaging, and useful social video content that attracts and retains the college-bound demographic
Ensure links, banners, backgrounds and highlights are proactively maintained and updated
Work closely with creative/content teams to develop on-brand and stylistically consistent built-for-social videos (primarily short-length, TikTok being a priority)
Identify, connect with, and develop partnerships with key influencers in the educational space

Strategize (30%)

Inform and create marketing/campaign strategies for all social channels (including Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Discord) with the goal of growing followers and engagement from college-bound high school student audiences
Create a strategy for encouraging and utilizing user-generated-content (UGC) from key demographics, primarily college-bound high school students and newly-enrolled college freshmen
Identify, connect with, and develop partnerships with key influencers in the educational space

Analyze (30%)

Track and analyze social media performance and provide ongoing analytics, across all BigFuture social video posts as well as outside top-performing content, hashtags, etc. that are succeeding with college-bound students and families
Monitor and manage budget for sponsored content and boosts to grow audience and engagement

About You

You have:

A track record of cultivating high levels of social video platform followers and enthusiastic engagement with educational, brand, and/or informative content with expert knowledge, production, and circulation abilities in all relevant social media platforms (primarily TikTok and Instagram)
Proven ability to produce, adapt, and evolve high-quality, engaging social video content primarily in shorter form
Knowledge of best practices using Reels, Stories, Live, etc.
Ability to think about and adapt content with a data-driven lens, continuously testing, validating, and evolving approaches and strategies based on results
Excellent planning, organization, and workflow management skills with ability to perform duties under minimal supervision, exercising discretion and best judgment
A service-orientated mindset with a positive attitude while working under continual deadline constraints
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud or similar tools and techniques needed for designing social-first content
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience with workflow/project management tools like JIRA, Workfront, Wrike, MS Project, etc. a plus
A passion for supporting educational and career opportunities for millions of students
Willingness to travel 2-3 times per year or < 10% for in-person meetings/gatherings
