Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
Candidate is expected to manage people, project and spearhead the Oracle Cloud Native service development with experience working on Cloud Infrastructure, AI/ML and cloud service development. Good communication skills, understanding of people, who can work with Global team with different cultures. This role requires thought process to create project plans, roadmaps, doing performance reviews, generating metrics/measure and maintaining the compliance of service. Experience in using agile development methodologies is important.
Job Location: Anywhere in US Time zone - For AMER Location (Preferably in OCI HUB Santa Clara or Broomfield or Nashua or Austin).
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
Education
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required
Cloud Architect certification in any of the cloud technologies, certificate in Software like Java and Agile software development methodologies are advantage
Technical Skills
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Software Development and Cloud Technologies, having AI/ML knowledge is advantage
Must have experience in public cloud offering on at least 1 or 2 of the well-known cloud service providers i.e. OCI, AWS, GCP, Azure or Alibaba
Good understanding of networking i.e. TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, firewalls, etc
Sound knowledge of Cloud Native Services
Development Experience with any of the programing languages Java, Go, Python or C/C++ Experience in Cloud Native technologies including the design and the automation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) deployments in a blue green manner.
Experience in development of bespoke Platforms or automated deployment of Platform as a Service (PaaS) capabilities to improve a new or existing environment would be an advantage
Product or project experience architecting, implementing, and optimizing core infrastructure
Management Skills
Excellent Engineer who has 2-4 years’ experience to mentor/coaching other engineers in team if not a direct manager
4 years people management experience.
Experience in Project planning and leading projects
Strong collaboration Skills: Must have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other members of the group and stakeholder engagement
Experience reviewing and implementing DevOps and Agile standards and practices

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Planning the roadmaps and work towards future state of the team and services.
People Management across time zones (AMER/APAC) for goal setting, talent review for team.
Coaching employee on their job performance, providing feedback and suggesting corrective action as appropriate.
Responsible for building team including recruiting, hiring and performance management.
Develop ICs and help in recruitment for the entire division.
Apply Industry best practices and standard operating procedures when designing and implementing any new or changes to services.
Troubleshoot issues that might occur in the service or downstream or upstream services.
Lead the development and maintenance releases to provide support to service.
Provide documentation, monitor, track security alerts and incidents.
Provide guidance to developers to head toward correct direction.
Drive Implementation of Security and Compliance Controls for service and employee-owned devices.
Collaborate with Platform Teams and closely with other enterprise engineering teams to drive organization initiatives and standards.
Develop processes to simplify and to continuously improve the services.
Engaged with stakeholders to review the service and improvements.
Works with TPM’s and include the new demands into the capacity forecast & budgeting.
Compliance review to report our service performance against service levels.
Coordinate incidents and major service incidents to resolve the issue and close the incidents.
Own responsibility of On-call Schedules, escalations, change management and incidents.
Embrace changes as organization priorities and strategy change.

US: Hiring Range: from $84,800 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
