Software Engineer, CCE- Production Support

Join a growing team focused on making Marketing Cloud products easier to support. Engineers will help identify gaps in current tools and work to improve them or build new tools. The engineer will also partner with scrum teams to build new diagnostic and troubleshooting tools for production systems to ensure the continued success and scalability of our large and rapidly expanding customer base.

Performance issues and functional bugs must be identified and resolved quickly. As a Software Engineer in the Customer Centric Engineering development team, you will deliver tools used by Salesforce Engineering and Support teams to detect, diagnose, and prevent customer-impacting issues. You should be passionate about solving tough technical problems and recommending improvements to products and processes. Technical skills are important, but so are persistence, patience and communication. What you’ll be doing:

  • Using C#, Java Script, SQL, Splunk, JSON, and open source technologies to create and maintain tools used by CCE and Support teams.

  • Identifying root causes, and fixes, and develop new debugging tools while working closely with product teams

  • Mentoring CCE and Support engineers on technical issues and best practices

  • Building relationships with other teams across Customer Support, TMP, and SRE as a technical expert

  • Expand the Supportability and Debuggability of the Marketing Cloud throughout TMP

  • Participate in the team’s on-call rotation to address complex problems in real-time and keep services operational and highly available.

What we’re looking for:

  • Developer-level technical chops along with a strong desire to interact with Engineering and Support to build tools that make our jobs easier.

  • Demonstrable curiosity, passion, integrity and outstanding attention to detail in professional and personal pursuits

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and work effectively in a fast paced dynamic environment

  • Knowledge of and experience with Node.js, Ajax, JSON, NPM.

  • Broad knowledge of web standards relating to APIs such as REST, SOAP, XML, WSDL, HTTP, JSON, etc

  • Good understanding of relational databases and SQL

  • Unparalleled troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as exemplified by clear bug/issue explanations, documentation of knowledge, mentoring ability, and comfort interacting with all levels of management

  • Experience with Agile development methodology

  • Bachelor's Degree. BS or MS in Computer Science preferred
