The College Board Software Engineer (Mid -Senior level) in Helena, Montana

This is a fully remote opportunity About the Team The SAT Registration team is a highly motivated, energetic team of (12) engineers with a passion for education. We support multiple initiatives across the organization and are committed to providing an exceptional SAT registration experience for our students. About the Opportunity As an Engineer on the SAT Registration team, you will contribute to the exciting work to build out features and support the SAT Registration workflow, mySAT, and other associated products. Whether it's working on the UI, or the backend services, in this role you will be helping build and develop solutions that will enhance our existing SAT Registration product and help us evolve to our new digital testing platform. In this role you will: Design & Implementation (75%) Design and implement high-quality solutions using the best Cloud technologies and the highest engineering standards in collaboration with product owners, architects, and stakeholders, in support of CB systems and services Build solutions using the best practices of Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps Continuously develop the skills required to work as part of the agile team in a poly-skilled development environment Team Operation (25%) Participate in agile scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Grooming, Daily SCRUM, Demo) and contribute to team deliverables Participate in peer reviews of software engineering artifacts Assist in the identification and resolution of production issues Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency, and drive About You Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related work experience required 5+ years of professional software development experience. 2+ years of Cloud development experience using Node.js (preferred), Python, or Javascript Experienced in building single-page applications in React.js and Nodejs Experienced in building event-driven Cloud-based serverless applications Experience building API's or other back-end services Preferred skills Strong experience with version control using Git, build automation using Webpack, continuous integration using AWS Code Pipeline or similar, and test automation Independent, proactive, and able to deliver high-quality code Excellent communication and collaboration skills - working cross-functionally with other engineers and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment Enthusiastic about innovating and learning \#LI-NB1 \#LI-REMOTE
