GovCIO Software Programmer 2 in Helena, Montana

Overview

The VA NSOC defends, manages, and monitors the network operating status and cyber security posture of the VA by providing the day-to-day management, operation and configuration of the enterprise network infrastructure, Internet Gateways, the delivery of enterprise security systems and services, the monitoring and reporting of security incidents, the conduct of threat and vulnerability analysis, the validation of adequate security controls within the enterprise and the full range of functions across the spectrum of activities relating to incident management, incident response and enterprise network management.

Seeking a SharePoint Administrator/Developer for first shift, full time remote work at the VA’s Network Security and Operations Center (NSOC). Position is remote but may require office visits for team collaborations or meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain multiple SharePoint 2010/2013/2016 farm environments.

  • Manage all updates and patches in accordance with VA approved change control procedures.

  • Create, maintain and troubleshoot site collections, team sites, lists, libraries and other OOB SharePoint resources.

  • Develop and maintain SharePoint workflows

  • Monitor performance and health of SharePoint farms.

  • Conduct web analytics review to evaluate and improve on the overall effectiveness of the farm.

  • Use PowerShell to automate system maintenance, monitoring, and development tasks.

  • Develop and maintain InfoPath forms for process automation

  • Use SharePoint designer to create, update, and maintain custom site pages.

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code.

  • Good knowledge of the physical and logical architectures associated with enterprise level SharePoint installations

  • Familiar with designing and developing custom SharePoint web parts.

  • A thorough understanding of the different authentication mechanisms that can be used within SharePoint, including Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) integration

  • Strong exp in C# ASP.NET with .NET Framework 3.5 and above (Experience in multiple projects with capability to independently handle a project)

  • Experience with Object Oriented design/development

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Agile Software Development methods.

  • SQL Server Reporting Services experience will be a plus.

  • Should be able to work under challenging environment and ready to learn and adapt to new technologies

Qualifications

  • Education / Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with 2-5 years of experience as a SharePoint Admin. 8 Years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education

  • Background Investigation: Must be able to pass and maintain a government Tier 2 (Moderate Background Investigation) background investigation

  • Remote but within 100 miles of Martinsburg, WV, Hines, IL, Dallas, TX, Philadelphia, PA

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $71,150.00 - USD $113,850.00 /Yr.
