State of Montana Sports Betting Coordinator in Helena, Montana

What is this career opportunity?. The Montana Lottery is expanding its gaming options into the sports betting arena. With the steady growth of this new gaming option, Lottery is expanding it’s employee base to add a part-time, 30 hours per week, position to support the needs of our retailers and customers. The Montana Lottery is seeking an individual with a passion for a variety of college and professional sports we feature in our gaming lineup. The incumbent should have significant depth in sports knowledge and feel comfortable speaking to all manner of topics to persons engaged in, or who support, our Sports Betting program. In this capacity, you will generally be responsible for: • Selecting the weeks’ main events for social, and website banner advertising • Editing and proofing created social content, launch plans, etc. • Answer questions from players that come in from the MTL email • Review and escalate issues regarding gaming terminals • Work with our vendor on general offering enhancements • Be part of advertising media planning and creative content development What are we looking for? Minimum Education and Experience: * * Substantive college coursework in business, marketing, communications, or similar subject; AND * 3 years’ experience in a sales-related professional environment; OR * Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis. *Competencies: * /Knowledge of: / * The rules and concepts of a broad spectrum of professional and college sports; * Professional gaming and gambling concepts; and * Train adults to utilize Lottery gaming systems. /Ability to:/ * Provide excellent customer service to a broad audience; * Communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and retailers; * Advise on a variety of marketing and advertising concepts; * Operate effectively on a variety of social media platforms.Stay abreast of a significant quantity of sports-related statistics and information. * Only online applications are accepted.
