Job Summary

As a SQL Developer you will be responsible for the design, development, and support of database and reporting solutions.

Job Description

We are looking for a SQL Developer to assist with the design, development, and support of databases and reporting solutions. This position will be full-time and remote and is a 6–12-month contract .

Candidates must be willing to support EST hours to support the client.

Due to the nature of this position, all candidates must be able to work direct for any employer without a need for sponsorship now or in the future.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide technical advisory services as it relates to SQL and database development

  • Design, develop, and support database and reporting solutions

  • Develop applications and required documents as it relates to SQL and databases

  • Develop advanced ETL processes and work with existing ETL processes

  • Provide input for long-term enhancements, upgrades, or changes

  • Assist client staff and management with business applications and system needs

  • Document existing state and work being completed

What You’ll Need

Required:

  • 6 years of experience in database management/reporting/SQL development

  • Strong knowledge/experience with C#, Visual Studio, and GIT Knowledge

Preferred:

  • Prefer demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: healthcare claims environment and reporting development demonstrated experience in n-tier and web-based system development and support with strong technical knowledge in the specialized areas of application system programming, including software and tools. Tools include SQL Server 2008 R2 or above, SQL, TFS (Team Foundation Server), Source Control, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Visual Studio BIDS, Visual Studio 2008 or above, Oracle, C# (or Visual Basic), Microsoft IIS and Microsoft .NET framework2.0 or above. Also, prefer recent experience with SQL database management and development (i.e. SQL, MS SQL).

  • Certifications: One or more Microsoft data systems certifications such as MTA, MCSA, MCSE, ITIL v3, or applicable certification(s) may be substituted to equivalent degree requirements.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor
