The Role

The Senior Lead Marketing Database Analyst will create targeting to support our priority campaigns and initiatives across for our enterprise channels and marketing programs. Using their experience to work across scrum agile teams to gather input and translate that into an ideal customer profile; query databases to analyze internally and externally derived information sources to establish data centric rational for customer insight and targeting lists. This role is critical to the success of our campaigns and initiatives in targeting across a variety of marketing tactics and sales-driven customer engagements.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Experienced B2B marketer, preferably with technology products or services (IT, cloud, services, hardware, etc).

  • Demonstrable experience dealing with market segmentation, data sourcing, and analysis.

  • Basic SQL knowledge/experience; demonstratable experience working with MySQL (or like tool); preferred experience using Alteryx (GUI tool for data sourcing and blending) – this position will be working daily with Oracle data tables and relational database such as SalesForce.Com for internal or first party data, as well as second party data such as ABM/ABX signals, and third-party data such as Dun & Bradstreet data.

  • Position will focus on the development of targeting, data sourcing and data blending to identify the appropriate targets for marketing campaigns and programs (includes both marketing and sales initiatives) and providing those target lists to various stakeholders across marketing and sales or customer success teams.

  • Candidate will need to be initiative-taking in collaborating with a matrixed team to align against a campaign’s Ideal Customer Profile and create appropriate targeting across a range of firmographic, technographic, and channel requirements. Understanding of different data tables and available data to blend for improved targeting is key to successful targeting.

  • Elevated level of experience dealing with relational databases and big data sets; extensive experience dealing with Excel pivot tables, and the ability to communicate complex data blending and target characteristics to a matrixed team that may not have experience with relational databases or pivot tables.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • 8+ years of working experience preferred in relevant B2B marketing field.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.

  • Creative thinking and a passion for innovation in marketing, database marketing and data-driven insights

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, extract insights, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication and people skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Strong collaborator with an ability to plan, influence and execute in a highly matrixed environment.

  • Ability to react and adapt to changes in business priorities in a dynamic and challenging environment.

  • Basic SQL programming experience

  • Experience working extensively with Oracle data tables in SQL

  • Familiarity in Scrum Agile is preferred and valuable.

  • Alteryx experience is valuable

  • Salesforce experience is valuable

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

$94,420 - $125,890 in these states: AR ID KY LA ME MS NE SC SD

$99,390 - $132,510 in these states: AL AZ FL GA IA IN KS MO MT ND NM OH OK PA TN UT VT WI WV WY

$104,360 - $139,140 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI

$109,330 - $145,770 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
