The Senior Lead Product Manager will have product management responsibility for a line of advanced Lumen DDoS mitigation service offerings. Lumen provides a state-of-the-art global DDoS attack mitigation security service integrated with one of the largest global internet backbones serving medium, large, multi-national enterprise customers and government customers. In this role, you will be a part of an exciting area of growing security services. You will be responsible for helping develop and execute product strategy to advance the DDoS mitigation security service. You will be responsible for defining, developing and leading how we deliver services to our customers, develop short- and long-term strategies and incorporating agile, and other practices to facilitate progress and reduce costs, both in terms of sales and workflow inefficiencies. Ensure financial growth, profitability, and ensure an industry leading customer experience. Focused on the customer experience with an ability to understand and transform Lumen process and IT ecosystem. Must be adept at communicating technical requirements into internal executable written and verbal presentations. This role requires leading matrixed organizations responsible for the development and lifecycle management of a complex product ecosystem that includes IT systems, operations, and 3rd party vendors and partners.
The Main Responsibilities
Create the product requirements, market strategy with short, mid and long-term roadmaps and competitive strategy throughout the life of the service.
Define the pricing strategy and manage profitability of the service. Define desired customer experience and points of differentiation for expanding set of DDoS mitigation services.
Work with and ensure alignment with cross functional stakeholders including consulting teams, operations, sales, marketing, legal, regulatory, etc.
Analyze existing business processes and find opportunities for improvement; troubleshoot further to determine root causes. Align with other product groups and security services operating teams to drive cohesive customer experiences and solutions
Identification and solicitation for commitment of required core and extended resources and create onboarding plan for any new resources
Establish and monitors customer and operational metrics for the portfolio and champions development, organizational, and process improvements to ensure a market leading customer experience.
What We Look For in a Candidate
3+ years of direct experience in product management in the field of related security solutions
Business acumen: Must have an intermediate understanding of company financial measures and financial modeling, experience driving business plans, roadmaps, measuring performance, conducting competitive analysis and research.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for internal sales, cross-functional teams and executives, as well as externally with customers
Ability to create process flows and RACI charges
Technical aptitude to understand product dynamics and recommend service enhancements
Ability to travel as needed (15%)
Maximizes the digital presence across the customer lifecycle (Learn, Buy, Get, Pay, Support)
Working knowledge of DDoS mitigation and related security services solution and Experience with agile development and tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc. is a plus
