Oracle Sr. Principal Advanced Services Engineer in Helena, Montana

Job Description

This position is for a Senior Customer Support position with Oracle CSS in a customer facing support role. Applicant must be very experienced in a multitude of key areas involving Oracle Identity Management Suite, Oracle WebLogic Server architecture and administration and integration with Oracle products. **Applicant must be a US citizen, hold a DoD Secret Clearance and Security + Certification. Excellent Communication Skills and Customer Facing skills required as well as being able to work on a technical team.

As a member of the Support organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services. A primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.

We are seeking an experienced engineer with the following experience:

  • Oracle Identity Management Suite.

  • Proficiency in Oracle Access Manager (OAM) Including experience with SSO integration, multifactor authentication, and adaptive access control.

  • Configuration of Oracle Identity Management includes knowledge of access request management, active directories, LDAP directories, segregation of duties, role-based access controls, web services, access certification, segregation of duties.

  • Knowledge of Oracle WebLogic Server architecture and administration and integration with Oracle products.

  • Linux and Unix environments, Oracle Cloud, Windows

  • Candidate will be required to provide strategic architecture recommendations to customers, must have exceptional problem-solving skills and will be required to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

  • Communicate effectively with customers, Technical and Non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work with as a team and collaborate with cross functioning internal teams.

  • Remote and Onsite when required. Position can involve traveling to customers sites when required.

  • Hands on experience is crucial.

  • US Citizenship, DoD Security Clearance and Security + certification are required.

Additional preferred skills are:

  • Oracle Security Products - how to install and configure and Security products – including key vault server, advanced Security- Oracle Audit Vault and Database firewall.

  • Knowledge of OEM

Responsibilities

As a Senior Principal Advanced Services Engineer, you are a guru, with strong expertise across the stack & tiers (application and system), focused in the creation and management of business solutions using Oracle technology, the operations surrounding it, and the Oracle services infrastructure needed to achieve the highest service levels (e.g., availability, performance, etc.) and consequent high customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for setting overall technology direction for key areas to invest resources in, building internal expertise and leveraging knowledge within the Support organization. You will be expected to resolve and help guide resolution of multiple highly difficult and complex problems and escalations involving several product areas, while providing consultation to senior technical advisors on projects, reviewing their work and advising areas for self-advancement.

Key Skills and Qualifications needed:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Identity Management Suite: Oracle Identity Management (OID) Oracle Access Manager (OAM), Oracle Unified Directory (OUM) integration with Oracle Products in Cloud and On-Prem EBS environments and with 3 rd party products.

  • Proficiency in Oracle Access Manager (OAM) Including experience with SSO integration, multifactor authentication, and adaptive access control.

  • Configuration of Oracle Identity Management includes knowledge of access request management, active directories, LDAP directories, segregation of duties, role-based access controls, web services, access certification, segregation of duties.

  • Knowledge of Oracle WebLogic Server architecture and administration and integration with Oracle products.

  • Linux and Unix environments, Oracle Cloud, Windows

  • Oracle Identity Management Suite, Oracle WebLogic Server architecture and administration and integration with Oracle products, applications, and tools.

  • Experience working directly with customers to troubleshoot and resolve related issues.

  • US Citizenship, DoD Security Clearance and Security + certification are required.

  • Bachelor’s and master’s degree in computer science or engineering (Advanced degree such as MBA and/or Ph.D. a plus)

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills. Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

  • Strong communication skills. Experience within a customer facing role working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong cross functional collaboration skills. Experience effectively working with cross functional teams.

  • Ability to travel to customer sites when needed.

  • Experience with Oracle Security Products - how to install and configure and Security products – including key vault server, advanced Security- Oracle Audit Vault and Database firewall. (preferred)

US: Hiring Range in USD from $46.30 to $95.91 per hour; from: $96,300 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
