What You’ll Do

The Sr Principal Program Manager, Data Center Operations, will support Oracle’s global data center footprint! This valued individual contributor will oversee projects related to the build and operations phases of Oracle’s data center business. The Technical Program Manager will work closely with design engineering and build engineering to develop project plans and milestones.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in related infrastructure, data center operations field

  • 8+ years of experience with a proven track record of managing highly functional teams in the data center operations field

  • Experience working on hyperscale cloud environments

  • BA/BS Degree minimum is required

  • Project Management certifications desired

  • Experience developing processes

  • Lean Six sigma experience

  • Experience managing schedules with data center providers

  • Strong background & skills in networking, compute, and data center infrastructure

  • Experience working with physical infrastructure teams for data center builds; electrical, heating, cooling, etc.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear direction and executive level updates

  • Expert skills in Excel, Jira, Confluence, and other Project Management software experience

Responsibilities

Day-to-day you can expect the following:

  • Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products

  • Monitor the project from initiation through delivery

  • Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project & programs in the Data Center Operations org

  • Responsible for process development for decommissioning projects in the data center space

  • Develop vendor partnerships for deploying physical infrastructure in the whitespace

  • Participate in vendor selection and scheduling for data center builds

  • Initiate & participate in data center provider audits and evaluations

  • Oversee large projects and programs and intervene to keep them on track

  • Map out processes to find gaps, constraints, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities

  • Coordinate resources and vendors to deliver flawless execution

  • Map out scope, objectives, performance metrics, dependencies, resources required

Hiring Range: from $104,000 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
