Duties & Responsibilities
Reconcile expenditures, fixed assets, and other reconciliations as needed.
Prepare Medicaid cost reports for ambulance providers.
Provide general ledger and reporting assistance to financial staff.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures and recommend accounting process improvements.
Assist with the Medicaid cost report audit support and documentation.
Responsibilities may change as the department and PCG grow and as deemed necessary by management.
Required Skills
Ability to analyze account fluctuations and year to year variances.
Ability to identify unusual items or issues and to correct them going forward.
Ensure reporting is consistent with GAAP policy.
Effective ability to prioritize and manage multiple activity streams.
Must have the ability to manage task load.
Must maintain attention to detail at all times.
Excellent organizational skills, verbal, and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel.
Possess discretion to work with confidential information.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
· Experience with GAAP principles
· Experience with project accounting.
· Experience with Medicare or Medicaid cost reporting preferred
· Experience with Medicare regulations and reimbursement manual
· Experience with applicable Federal and State Medicaid policies and regulations relating to healthcare reimbursement
· Minimum 1-2 years experience with Medicare and/or Medicaid cost reporting preferred

As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $52,300-$80,000. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
