The Position:

Xerox is seeking a self-motivated and experienced professional to join our Global Bid Center team as a Strategic Bid Manager . This individual will be responsible for leading our pursuit and capture teams (global and multi-country) on large deals, developing a compelling strategy and proposal/submission to win business. The Strategic Bid Manager will report to the Vice President, Global Bid Center.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional virtual deal teams including sales professionals, service & technical architects, commercial manager(s), service delivery and other subject matter experts through the entire sales process from start to contract award and signing.

  • Develop, manage and ensure achievement of bid project plan / timeline including setback schedules,

  • Lead development of best-in-class proposals

  • Ensure robust business case development using all available tools and resources to identify and achieve price-to-win.

  • Complete alignment to the SRVS 001 policy and corporate BMPP process including compliance to reporting and system update protocols.

  • Achieve win rate of 40% new business by value and 90% renewal by deal value.

  • Contribute relevant materials to Xerox bid management knowledge base, tracking relevant performance metrics throughout deal process.

  • Drive improved profitability and bid-cost reduction through reuse, best practices and knowledge sharing.

  • Provide expert support and input to bid management issues.

  • Ensure resource requirements are identified and communicated to enable broader resourcing plans and deal prioritization.

  • Monitor and inspect bid status to ensure ongoing commercial viability of all active bids and ensure appropriate contingency actions are in place.

  • Participate and/or represent the Xerox Global Bid Center as needed in global projects and initiatives.

  • Provide coaching and mentorship to peers on the team and other stakeholders.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Prior and relevant experience in bid management and customer-facing role including experience in any of the following key areas: service delivery management, sales, sales management, commercial management

  • Proven ability to resolve problems and break through constraints encountered when leading complex, high-risk, high-profile engagements

  • Strong business acumen including an ability to influence at the executive level

  • Able to perform under pressure, leading and coaching others

  • Experience and knowledge of the services sales cycle including an ability to articulate the value proposition

  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead within a matrix managed environment

  • Balanced emotional intelligence to manage testing pursuits, escalate in the most appropriate way and challenge when necessary

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • PMI, Lean Six Sigma certifications a plus

  • European language skills a plus
