Substitute Para Educators (Teacher Assistants) We are seeking caring professionals for all grade levels.
At Helena Public Schools, our vision is to foster dynamic educational experiences that prepare all students for life. As a Substitute Para Educator (Teacher Assistant), you contribute to this mission by providing assisting with classrom instruction and assisting students who may need a little extra help. You will work as part of a team that serves 8,000 students at 18 campuses across Helena. Some of what you will do:
Promote a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth in the para educators (teacher assistants) absence
Provide assistance for individual students and/or small groups based on lesson plans
May assist in the maintenance of appropriate student records
Who we are looking for:
A high school diploma or equivalent is desired.
Prior experience working with school aged children is preferred.
Substitute Para Educators (Teacher Assistants) enjoy a flexible schedule and preference of location and assignment. Opportunities for short and long term coverage!
