CenterWell Supervisor - Clinical Pharmacy Technician in Helena, Montana

The Supervisor, Clinical Pharmacy Technicians will ensure that pharmacy technician processes and programs are implemented and serves as a resource and subject matter expert for the Clinical Pharmacy Technicians working in their assigned markets. Key areas of focus include (30%) day to day support for Clinical Pharmacy Technician staffing, attendance, performance, training, coaching and oversight of daily activities performed by the Pharmacy Technicians as well as this is a working leader role and 70% of the time will perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the Clinical Pharmacy Technician. The position will work closely with market-level care teams to ensure successful achievement of pharmacy outcome measures.
Supervises day to day performance of Clinical Pharmacy Technicians across the organization.
Oversees day to day job performance, provides ongoing feedback, performs mid-year and annual performance evaluations for Clinical Pharmacy Technicians.
Recruits, trains, and coaches Clinical Pharmacy Technicians.
Coordinates the orientation and training of new employees to the technical functions of assigned tasks.
Routinely meets with Clinical Pharmacy Technicians to review expectations to ensure they are on target to achieve projected goals.
Assures proper procedures for medication adherence outreach, auditing, documenting and reporting as it pertains to STAR measures when applicable.
Develops a training manual for Clinical Pharmacy Technicians as necessary.
Demonstrates commitment to quality and service excellence in all actions as well as written and verbal communications.
Attends scheduled team meetings and provides relevant feedback regarding workflow issues.
Contributing to policy changes, goal setting or making recommendations for improvements.
Develop systems to improve staff productivity and workload efficiency.
Project management and problem solving. Solve problems through critical evaluation of data-based information and continuous improvement efforts that lead to effective quality-based outcomes.

Know and continually review medication brand and generic names, medical terminology, and pharmaceutical calculations.
Attend scheduled team meetings and provide relevant feedback regarding workflow issues.
Assist Integrated Clinical Pharmacists and providers in troubleshooting prescription third party claim rejections by accessing and understanding formulary restrictions, plan limitations, drug utilization review overrides, requesting and completing prior authorization, and/or communicating with plan representatives and/or prescribers to resolve such issues.
Assist Integrated Clinical Pharmacists with chronic disease management scheduling, pre-appointment preparation, follow up tasks for medication reconciliation/education.
Responsible for initiating and following through with patient assistance programs, prior authorizations, formulary exceptions/alternatives, and tier reductions to help patients afford their medications.
Assist in day-to-day tasks as needed and requested by market pharmacist or National Director, pharmacy.
Responsible for interacting with other departments to assist with member problems or questions and act as facilitator to resolve them with regard to medication access.

Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program
National Certified Pharmacy Technician
Six or more years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Current State Pharmacy Technician Certification and License for cross coverage where needed
Experience and/or ability to work with electronic health record system
Ability to generate and understand data and reports
Minimum 2 to 3 years as team leader, or staff coach/ mentor
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Pharmacy Benefit Management experience

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$58,700 - $70,400 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
