On Facebook App Commerce, our mission is to connect people through commerce. We believe every transaction between a buyer and seller helps communities grow, helps improve people's lives and creates financial opportunities. Hundreds of millions of people in 90 plus markets come to Facebook every month to buy and sell across the Marketplace tab, buy and sell groups, and Pages. Marketplace is a truly unique product, sitting at the intersection of commerce and social.Within Facebook App Commerce, the Commerce Intelligence & Quality team provides the backend services that power commerce on Marketplace and Facebook Shops, by providing services like Ranking, Personalization, Search using Machine Learning, and all the Infrastructure support across Facebook App Commerce. As a TPM on this team, you will work with a team of talented engineers, data scientists, and other cross-functional team members to build the infra systems that our ranking teams rely on each and every day. We depend on these infra systems to deliver highly personalized product recommendations quickly with as few servers as possible. Since there is no Product Manager on this team, your scope of responsibilities and decision making will be broad.We are looking for an experienced technical leader who can support complex infra systems at a large scale, while maintaining clarity of product vision and organizational awareness. You’ll commit to developing the roadmap with your engineering and infra cross-functional counterparts, ensuring that we have enough capacity for the next 6-12 months, and breaking down product requirements into engineering milestones. You are a leader on the team who can drive system architectural discussions, and make future-proof decisions that align with product strategy and vision.

Required Skills:

  1. Driving product vision, planning and roadmaps with engineering partners.

  2. Managing the capacity and ensuring sufficient headrooms to handle our projects over the next 6-12 months.

  3. Tackle complex problems with a strategic mindset and create programs for solving those problems.

  4. Maintain the team's focus on strategy and goal-oriented results.

  5. Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery.

  6. Communicate status and big picture to the project team and management.

  7. Proactively identify upcoming risks, issues, and bottlenecks and resolve cross-team issues.

  8. Balance the business needs with technical constraints by building deep subject matter expertise for your area.

  9. Proactively identify inefficiencies that are holding the team back, and drive better, more efficient workflows.

  10. Drive internal process improvements, remove gaps across multiple teams and ensure teams are working on high-impact projects that align with the company mission and goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

  2. 7+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience.

  3. Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery.

  4. Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope.

  5. Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.

  6. Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.

  7. Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience.

  8. Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.

  9. Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience managing Infrastructure hardware and software.

  2. Experience building large-scale systems and services.

  3. Background in Machine Learning.
