Guidehouse Test Automation Engineer in Helena, Montana

What You Will Do :

  • Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.

  • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.

  • Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts including test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.

  • Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.

  • Participate in or hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.

  • Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.

  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.

  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.

  • Must have experience with Agile methodology and have worked in scrum teams

  • Create clear, concise detail oriented test plans/cases.

What You Will Need :

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree:

  • Associate degree can be substituted with 2 additional years of experience; Or

  • Bachelor’s degree can be substituted with 4 additional years of experience.

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust

  • 2-12 years of Testing experience

  • Experience scripting using automated test tools to develop more complex test scenarios.

  • Experience working on full lifecycle software development projects.

  • Experience using automated test tools to record and play back test scripts.

  • Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications.

  • Liaison with development, project management, and customer support.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Exceptional customer service skills.

  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to communicate applicable technical subject matter expertise to management and others.

  • Ability to apply and provide feedback on service operation model and practices.

What Would Be Nice To Have :

  • Section 508 Trusted Tester

  • Experience testing GIS applications

  • Supporting Federal project

The annual salary range for this position is $66,700.00-$100,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
