State of Montana Tourism Program Supervisor in Helena, Montana

About this Position This position is open until filled with weekly reviews. The marketing, communications, film and tourism programs are all part of a versatile and cohesive Brand MT team that works to sustain and grow Montana’s economy. The programs develop and use communications, advertising, development and promotional campaigns to showcase Montana and create awareness about the state as a place to visit and do business. Through data-driven strategies and grant programs, the team aims to preserve and promote the genuine character of Montana and partners to achieve a sustainable economic future for all. This position is responsible for Montana Office of Tourism product development, including the annual tourism conference, and tourism grant programs. Implementation of tourism and resiliency strategies, policies, guidelines, goals, and objectives to improve Montana’s tourism related infrastructure. To increase the overall effectiveness of statewide tourism, infrastructure development and activities through a unified effort. Education and Experience: * A Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Marketing, Communications or other related fields * 3 years of job related experience plus 2 years of supervisory experience required * Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Competencies (knowledge and Abilities): * Knowledge of tourism and recreation in Montana * Establish and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally with a diverse group of individuals * Provide strong, effective leadership, including encouraging employee development, providing direction and feedback and creating a motivating and exciting work environment. * Strategize and find solutions for unusual and difficult problems quickly and satisfactorily.
