Job Description

Hours: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm

HS Diploma or Greater


Provide Administrative, Professional, Quality Assurance and Analytical support to the Third Party Liability Unit.


  • Possesses specialized skills or is multi-skilled through job related training

  • Completes routine as well as atypical assignments. May solve problems of a recurring nature, but takes a broad perspective to problems and may identify new, less obvious solutions

  • Completes work with a limited degree of supervision

  • Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience

  • May lead some work initiatives with team members or conduct quality review

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs all duties as listed in Associate II job description for the Third Party Liability (TPL) unit plus

  • Assist with the facilitation and review of carrier bills

  • Conduct outreach calls to carriers and providers

  • Analyze and research carrier denials and conduct other general analysis

  • Make recommendations for corrective actions based on research, analysis and unit’s performance. Assist with the implementation of approved actions

  • Perform regular review of Desk Level Procedures; making recommendations for changes, additions, etc.

  • Assist with the development of reporting for the TPL unit; update regular and ongoing reporting

  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Minimum of 2 years experience in customer service – specific phone outreach experience preferred

  • Prior health care billing or office experience preferred

  • Ability to accurately type, ten-key, and navigate various systems

  • Critical thinking skills

  • Must be able to multi-task

  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite – must know basics of Word and Excel

  • A positive attitude and be able to work with co-workers and customers within a diverse culture

  • The ability to relate to customers in a professional and courteous manner

  • The ability to work in a team environment, make outgoing phone calls 60% of the time, and sit for long periods of time

  • Must have attention to detail

  • Must be self-motivated
