Job Description

The U.S. Bank Home Mortgage Condo Credit Risk Manager is the department leader requiring extensive Condo Project Management experience, business line support, and collaborations expertise.

The role is responsible for the oversight of credit risk.

Achieves credit performance and lending risk profiles in comparison with peer lenders, external Agency Investor requirements, and internal defined performance goals.

Establishes and administers condo / coop credit policies and procedures for specified business channels to ensure compliance with various regulatory, investor, government, and corporate requirements.

Communicates and reviews guideline changes, credit risk appetite, credit quality and performance with residential real estate businesses, sales, and operation groups, and assists with effective execution of policy, process, and procedure for managing credit risks.

Advocates for the residential real estate business on credit issues based on reasonable credit risks to balance market share and revenue growth with loan quality expectations.

Meet, train, and collaborate with East region Sales and Operations teams

Serve as the first point of contact for escalation in the East Region

Manage the daily flow of condominium reviews

Manage and lead team of Condominium project analysts who review and determine the eligibility status of projects.

Serves as an analyst for complex assignments such as unique projects and complex leaseholds.

Works together with credit risk management to recommend condominium project guidelines.

Conducts annual/quarterly review and goal settings for the project analysts

Collaborates with Project Approval Department leadership team on updating condominium documents.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • Seven to ten years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Extensive condo / coop project management experience and business line support and collaboration expertise.

  • Thorough understanding of all aspects of condo / coop credit risk policies, procedures, and practices

  • Effective organizational, project management, and execution skills

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Three or more years of professional people management

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $108,545.00 - $127,700.00 - $140,470.00
