VRA Admin - Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Overview of position:

The Virtualization Engineer will work on developing Cloud templates (blueprint) and will administer Virtual Realize Automation (VRA) Framework. This is a remote position working anywhere in the US.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Integration with in Vmware PowerCLI and Microsoft Powershell scripting

  • Administration of the vRealize Automation framework

  • Cloud Templates (Blueprints) development in YAML Code based on the test engineering team’s requirements

  • vRA Integration with different tools and technologies such as Puppet, Chef, Terraform, Jenkins, AWS, AZURE

  • Develops proposals related to one or more architecture domains (i.e., process, infrastructure)

  • Monitors current and future trends, technology and information that will affect organizational projects

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) understanding and implementation

  • Work with CHC infrastructure team and VMWARE to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.

    What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • 1+ years of experience in software/hardware engineering

  • Experience working with VMWARE vRA (Service Broker, Cloud Assembly, Code Stream, Orchestrator)

    What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

  • Experience working with PowerShell

  • Experience with API design and development

  • Experience with White box testing

  • Experience with SQL, Oracle, data warehousing- OBIEE

  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to perform detail oriented work

  • Project management awareness and time management skills

  • Ability to work without direct supervision. Strong initiative
