Robert Half Affordable Housing Development /Grant Administrator in Kalispell, Montana

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Affordable Housing Development/Grant Administrator in Kalispell, Montana. This role is primarily engaged in the preparation of successful applications to federal, state, and local grants, along with other funding sources for affordable housing and community development projects. The successful candidate will also play an integral part in the planning, development, coordination, and administration of affordable housing residential projects.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing applications for funding from various sources, including federal, state, and local grants, USDA, HUD, LIHTC, and bond programs.

• Assisting with the planning, development, coordination, and administration of affordable housing residential projects.

• Ensuring project compliance with grant, USDA, HUD, LIHTC, bond regulations.

• Preparing contracts and agreements related to community development projects.

• Monitoring timelines and performance requirements of project application submittal and acceptance.

• Handling real estate transactions and lease agreements.

• Participating in special projects as required.

• Revising policies and procedures as necessary to ensure compliance with regulations.

• Staying updated on federal, state, and local regulations and laws applicable to affordable housing and community development.

• Evaluating current trends in the field of affordable housing and community redevelopment, assessing impact, and recommending policy and procedural modifications accordingly.

• Compiling data and information for reporting to state and federal agencies as required.

• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with non-profits, subrecipients, contractors, public agencies, staff and management, neighborhood groups, and the general public.

SALARY RANGE: $50k -$52k DOE

    Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Affordable Housing Development and/or Grant Administration

• Demonstrable knowledge and experience with Federal and Foundation Grants

• Proficiency in CRM systems

• Proven experience in Auditing and Compliance within a non-profit setting

• Sound understanding and experience with Grant Administration, Management and Writing

• Experience with HUD regulations and policies

• Proficiency in Fund Accounting within a non-profit environment

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
