Kalispell Regional Healthcare Application Specialist I - HIT in Kalispell, Montana
This position provides software application support by troubleshooting daily issues. Serves as liaison between end users and software vendor(s) and monitors tasks for expedient resolution. This position possesses knowledge of healthcare application software systems and supports new implementations, modifications, and troubleshooting of software issues.
*Exhibits high quality customer service skills, to include, but may not be limited to; appropriate communication with customers, consistent follow through on issues, and appropriate escalation and service recovery. Supports the KRH philosophy, mission, and vision through all interactions.
*Exhibits analytical and problem-solving skills during troubleshooting, resolution, and build and implementation of new software functions. Identifies problems and their probable causes, as well as the impact on operations.
*Provides application support services, including but not limited to; application build, testing, training of end-users, and collaborating with vendors and HIT personnel on issue resolution. Understands and provides technical expertise specific to the assigned application systems.
*Follows HIT standard procedures consistently, to include, but may not be limited to; change management and communication, issue tracking and reporting, implementation processes (design, build, test, training and cutover to live), information security and PHI procedures and other fundamental HIT disciplines.
*Participates as team member on implementation projects. Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner, reports status, resolves and/or escalates issues and risks to the assigned project manager.
*Responsible for assigned issues and tasks independently in compliance with HIT service level agreements (SLAs). Escalates for prioritization and/or support appropriately within HIT and/or vendors.
*Exhibits exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
*Efficiently utilizes standard and specialty application report writing tools and technologies to support technical trouble-shooting.
*Pursues opportunities for self-development. Stays current with industry and application product changes and trends as they relate to job responsibilities.

Associates Degree in a relevant field preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Strong understanding of personal computers required.
Possess demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills required.
Minimum of two (2) years’ IT work experience within healthcare preferred.
