LC Staffing Bank Teller in Kalispell, Montana

Do you like helping people in a customer-facing role? Are you friendly? Do you have some experience around money? If so, this might be the position for you.

A local bank is looking for tellers to fill positions at all of our Whitefish branches. The ideal candidate has experience serving customers, handling difficult situations or challenging customer interactions. The individual has cash handling experience, is friendly, upbeat, and kind. Although it would be fantastic if the individual had experience in a financial institution, experience in retail or restaurant may work as well.

Summary A teller establishes the first impression a member or guest has of the organization. The teller’s responsibilities include welcoming members and providing routine information concerning services. Tellers also refer member to appropriate departments for specific information and service. The ability to promptly, professionally and accurately assist members with their financial transactions as well as the ability to follow and accurately convey protocol are key to success in this position.

Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; sells money orders, travel & gift cards to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed. Provides friendly, professional, and personal service to all members and associates. Balances cash drawer in accordance with the over short policy. Accurately post transactions to member accounts and maintain member records. Troubleshoot and resolve internal and external inquiries in a timely, friendly, and accurate manner. Proactively seek opportunities to identify needs for products or services that better the members’ financial lives. Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including typing, filing, computer input and answering the telephone. Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness. Maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance. Ensures appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject to typical office conditions. Occasionally the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. Travel may be required.

Physical Demands: While performing the responsibilities of the Teller job, the employee is required to talk and hear; conveying detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately and efficiently. The employee is often required to stand and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to sit, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required in this job include close vision. Occasional lifting of boxes and equipment under 30 lbs.

Requirements:

A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in additional to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work involves the ability to motivate and influence others. Fostering sound relationships with others is necessary. Education & Experience:

A high school education or equivalent. No direct experience is required. Previous customer service and/or cash handling experience is preferred. Experience with ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch Wage: $15

Shift: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
